She got her. The hawk came down and attacked my Auracana. Thank God she’s a fast runner and was able to get away. I knew it was the hawk that attacked her because the wound was on her back and the hawk ripped off some skin under her wing and exposed some muscle. I took the Auracana into the house and dabbed the wound with some peroxide and I kept her in my house for the night. I didn’t want the other chickens to peck at her wound. She had no problem making herself at home she got cozy next to my little dog cookie on the dog bed. It was quite funny. My poodle Muffin layed on the edge of the dog bed next to the Auracana and Cookie, it truly was a site to see.
Today my Auracan is outside with the rest of the chickens because her wound looks better. But I will probably bring her back in this evening.
